I accidentally said something that was apparently considered rude in the country where this woman I was chatting with lives. I had no idea! It just goes to show how important it is to be aware of cultural differences

“Not suitable for those needing relationships”

Many of the people on there are also just trying to have fun at the cost of other people. Because they work at dead-end jobs and cannot afford to go out and have fun on their own money, they have no desire for a relationship of any type.

Many of the people on there are also just trying to have fun at the cost of other people. Because they work at dead-end jobs and cannot afford to go out and have fun on their own money, they have no desire for a relationship of any type.

“It was frustrating”

I expected a thoughtful and individualized pairing process. Instead, I received what seemed to be a fancy-named, pricey, glorified online dating app. The money wasn't worth it. Free dating applications that may provide a larger pool of possible mates are probably going to provide you more luck and savings on money.

I expected a thoughtful and individualized pairing process. Instead, I received what seemed to be a fancy-named, pricey, glorified online dating app. The money wasn't worth it. I don't normally review anything haha.. Just a bit of info for all you guys out there. Was using the site non stop for 2 weeks, but after that my local pool just drained. OK, my town is not too big, but still I was expecting more. Other than that, the site is safe, no fakes, and fun to use. I think if you're from a big city, you won't have such problems.

OK, my town is not too big, but still I was expecting more. Other than that, the site is safe, no fakes, and fun to use. I think if you're from a big city, you won't have such problems.

I don't like going to bars and clubs to meet singles. I prefer dating through dating sites. I don’t remember how I found this site, but I was definitely lucky. Some functions are limited without a premium subscription, but it is inexpensive. I haven’t found a soulmate yet, but I don’t regret that I joined this site.

Online dating can be a horrible experience, but you can learn a lot from it. I am here to do just that and have fun. You'll have more fun if you don't take yourself so seriously. It's possible that you'll connect with someone you otherwise would not meet and discover they are the person you have been searching for your entire life.

I actually have met one really nice lady who has become a very good friend. She's on the west coast and I'm here on the east. We've been e-mailing for over 2 years and have a close friendship (only). I joined Animal People a while back. I saw Michael's description on the web site on and said hello. He wrote me back the very next day. We have been writing and talking ever since. I spend a lot of time on my computer. Doing medical research, building websites, designing business cards, brochures and advertisements. I got this crazy idea one night when I couldn't sleep, to go to some 'singles' sites. I found Animal People just surfing and clicking links on other sites. I found it to be very different and somewhat 'comfortable'. I pulled out my credit card and joined right then just so I could read all of the ads 'Men Seeking Women'. My curiosity got the best of me! I used the search feature and typed in '50' to find any guys who were in their 50's. As the search stopped on those ads, I shot off a message to them, very brief, " Hi, just stopping by to say hello, I saw your ad at Animal Lovers. It’s there that I met Richard and sparks ensued immediately. I owe my happiness to Animal People, as well as the happiness of our shared doggy family.
